Division P Treatment Mall

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division has designed an inter-disciplinary program, which provides Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs) through its treatment program, “PREP” (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Empowerment Program).  PSIs are provided in group settings by a variety of mental health professionals, including but not limited to, creative expressive arts therapists, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses.  The objective of PREP is to provide each patient with an individualized schedule of PSIs that is consistent with the treatment goals identified by his/her treatment team and stated in the patient’s treatment plan.  PREP PSIs are designed to accomplish a number of objectives such as symptom alleviation, improved socialization, acquisition or promotion of functional living skills, discharge planning, and enrichment of quality of life and over all well-being.

Psychosocial Interventions are provided in Division P’s off-ward Treatment Mall setting. It is the mission of Division P’s Treatment Mall to provide for each of its patients, the opportunity for participation in psychosocial interventions which are designed to address the individual needs of the severely and persistently mentally ill SPMI patient by helping him/her to develop skills and identifying supports necessary to live in the least restrictive environment possible.  The Treatment Mall offers a wide array of services representing an inter-disciplinary collaboration of resources to provide a therapeutic milieu to empower individuals and foster maximum independence.
