The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Division has designed an inter-disciplinary program, which provides Psychosocial Interventions (PSIs) through its treatment program, PREP (Psychiatric Rehabilitation Empowerment Program). PSIs are provided in group settings by a variety of mental health professionals, including but not limited to, creative expressive arts therapists, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and nurses. The objective of PREP is to provide each patient with an individualized schedule of PSIs that is consistent with the treatment goals identified by his/her treatment team and stated in the patients treatment plan. PREP PSIs are designed to accomplish a number of objectives such as symptom alleviation, improved socialization, acquisition or promotion of functional living skills, discharge planning, and enrichment of quality of life and over all well-being. |
