Sheila Taylor is native to our area, having been awarded an ADN Nursing Degree from Western Piedmont Community College in 1990 and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University in 1997. She is currently attending Master’s level nursing graduate studies at WCU. For the past eight years, Sheila has worked for DHHS in the adult care component of the Division of Health Services Regulation. Most recently she has been supervising a team of consultants who survey assisted living facilities. She has good familiarity with how to navigate standards, and with what constitutes an appropriate plan of correction should a facility be found deficient relative to one or more standards.
