Speech-Language Pathology provides services to patients who exhibit difficulty with speech, language, cognition, swallowing,or hearing.  Comprehensive evaluations are followed by treatment sessions to remediate identified problems. Psychosocial interventions are also provided by the Speech-Language Pathologist.

The Speech-Language Pathology Department currently has student affiliations with Western Carolina University and Appalachian State University.  Broughton Hospital provides opportunities for graduate students to gain diagnostic and therapeutic experience.
