Tressa Hall was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Western Carolina University. She is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Recreational Therapy Licensure as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (LRT), and by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She began employment at Broughton Hospital in 1995 as RT Discipline Chief for the Geropsychiatry Division. In 1999, she was promoted to RT/CEA Therapies Department Director for the Hospital.  Ms. Hall was previously employed by J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center, and as a part-time instructor for Western Piedmont Community College.   She also has employment experience performing high risk intervention and community inclusion services with the MR/DD population, at risk adolescents, and crisis intervention in community mental health. Ms. Hall's vitae also includes an array of professional presentations for conferences, workshops, and community agencies.  In May 2006, Ms. Hall was assigned as the acting director of the Specialty Services Division, and in May 2007, she was promoted to the director of the Specialty Services Division.
